Necklaces:
Discovering the ideal necklace length is unique to each individual. If you're uncertain about your preferred length, follow these steps:
- Measure Your Neck: Find a piece of string, thread, or flexible measuring tape and gently wrap it around your neck where you would like the necklace to sit. Adjust it to your desired style — closer to the neck for a choker, or lower for a pendant or layering piece.
- Determine Your Length: Mark the point where the string overlaps, then measure the length with a ruler or tape measure to determine your preferred necklace length.
- Adjustable Necklaces: If the necklace has a slider, extender chain, or adjustable closure, the key measurement is still helpful for finding the starting point, but the necklace can be easily adjusted for your desired fit.
Pro tip: For accuracy, measure a favorite necklace you already own from end to end with a ruler or tape measure to find your ideal length.
Bracelets:
Finding the right bracelet size ensures both comfort and style. Use this guide to select the perfect fit for your wrist:
- Measure Your Wrist: Find a thread, string, or flexible measuring tape and gently wrap it around your wrist where you would normally wear your bracelet. Make sure it sits comfortably — not too tight or loose.
- Determine Your Wrist Size: Mark the point where the thread overlaps, then measure the length with a ruler to determine your wrist measurement.
- Adjust for Comfort: For a snug fit, add about 0.5 inches (1–1.5 cm) to your wrist measurement. For a looser, relaxed fit, add 1 inch (2.5 cm) or more.
- Slide or Adjustable Bracelets: For bracelets with a slide closure or adjustable mechanism, the key measurement is the circumference of your hand or fist to ensure the bracelet can pass over it. Once on, the bracelet can be adjusted to fit your wrist comfortably. Knowing your wrist measurement can still help you adjust the bracelet to sit perfectly once it’s on.
Pro tip: For accuracy, grab a favorite bracelet that you already own and measure the length from end to end with a ruler.
